I can do all things

The funny thing about life changing experiences is that they only really change your life. You can try and explain the situation, the emotions, and the impact, but unless the person was there, and touched in the same way something always gets missed in the communication. I’ve tried to explain to a few people about my race two weeks ago, and I watch how their eyes gloss over.

There was one thing that happened that I wanted to share. In the mist of the hardest physical and mental thing I have done in my life, God was there. I wanted to give up, and He gave me a moment of peace. I turned around to walk backwards up a particularly steep hill, and caught a view of the green valleys, farmland and trees. And it was a clear reminder of how far I had come, and what God had made. Then a verse came into my mind, and like a babbling fool, I chanted it to myself through the rest of the race. “I can do all thing through Him who gives my strength.” Philippians 4:13

There are going to be events that you go through that no one else is going to understand. Struggles that people just don’t get. But the great thing is that God is there. He fully understands and wants you to know He is there with you.

I am with you

I admit it... this week has been a tough one. Nothing wrong really, I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed all week. Stressed over silly things like getting laundry done, losing my mailbox key, or not working out. And then there is this song that has been going around my head all week.😩 (AHHH!!!!) GT and the Halo Express's version of Isaiah 41:10. When was the last time you heard God's voice, Pastor Dwayne asked us on Sunday. Well.... 🎵DO NOT FEAR FOR I AM WITH YOU. DO NOT BE DISMAYED FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU, STRENGTHEN YOU AND HELP YOU. I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND. 🎵 - Remember to actually listen when God speaks... cause He's been singing at me all week -and I honestly had a duh🤔🤭 moment like 20 mins ago stressing over what to post this week. God is Good.

Its funny sometimes how God works. It can be hard to understand, and its not always linear. I had a FB post ready to go for today, but it didn't sit quite right with me, so I set it aside to edit it this morning.

Then God sent me a lovely lady, L. L recently took a step of faith, and it was scary and it was unsure. But she followed what God told her to do. She lite up the room while I was talking to her. She gave me encouragement I didn't even know I needed.

Just like Vera Kuranji said on Sunday. Sometimes we are called to take a first step. No promises of success, nothing lines up like WE would like, but we know we were called. Take that 1 scary step, that act of faith, and He will take the next thousand. God is in control.
